When I was a child the “Cold War” was frequently discussed. We learned about the repressive nature of communism as the two top dogs, Russia and USA, faced off. As an adult, my understanding has grown as I’ve read more historic accounts of life in various countries. Throughout my life I’ve heard of many wars fought on the pretense of “stopping communism”.
We may disagree on the best methods of government and on the interpretation of history. However, I feel most will agree that the use of coercive torture techniques to gain control of a population is a violation of the most basic of human rights. Our rights are granted by God, not government. The role of government is to protect our rights.
Have a look at the chart below and see if you sense any validity to the idea that many events in the last year (and perhaps much longer) are a type of mass brainwashing very similar to techniques used on captured American servicemen. These techniques are designed to create psychological as well as physical prisoners. The information in the left-hand column is from the Biderman report presented in 1956 – over 60 years ago.
I often ask myself, how can so many good people follow logically flawed recommendations with wholehearted belief that they are doing the right thing? Why do so many trust the government and politicians as if our health is a primary priority? There seem to be many logical reasons to avoid specific risky medical procedures, yet we witness dear friends who couldn’t wait to become part of the experiment.
Could this be part of a coercive plan?
What do you think? I’d love to hear from others. So much information abounds in our world and thoughtful logical dialogue is difficult to find. Division is rampant and discussion rare. Is that part of the process?
May God’s word of grace build you up and may you claim your inheritance among all who are sanctified. from Acts 20:32
My favorite verse from Romans chapter 13: Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 13:10
Remember, God’s children have the mind of Christ. We renew our minds through God’s word as we meditate on it. I highly recommend reading the entire chapter of 1 Corinthians 2. God’s word cleanses our hearts and minds and helps open our eyes to His plan and purposes.
However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ – the things God has prepared for those who love Him – these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no-one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject merely human judgments, for, ‘Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:9-16

Becky Hastings collects information on health and tries her best to discover and share truth. By God’s grace, through Jesus Christ, I was saved, blessed with a husband of 40 years, and five precious babies all grown up. I now get to delight as nine grandchildren grow! Together we can help each other discover a healthy path in this crazy upside down world.
Maybe God will work in the hearts of enough people to stop complying? The US used to be the good guys saving other countries from communism and look at us now.
Thanks for your comment. I agree – God IS AT WORK. He is not surprised. Often the church thrives and grows during times of oppression. I pray many will come to know Jesus through the current challenges and call on His name in repentance and faith.
